Conference „EU audit innovation and increasing the advisory role of SAIs in the benefit of society“

Bucharest, 7th May 2019 – The Romanian Court of audit was the host of the conference „EU audit innovation and increasing the advisory role of SAIs in the benefit of society“.

The delegation of the State audit institution of Montenegro composed of PhD Branislav Radulović, member of Senate and Draško Novaković, senior associate of state auditor took part in the conference. The participants discussed about the impact of audit innovation on the role of SAIs in democratic societies, new approaches to public sector auditing and digitalization of financial audit. They also presented their experiences and challenges of supreme audit institutions of the EU in the field of increasing the advisory role of the SAIs that is how the SAIs can contribute to improve citizens lives and increase the social impact of the audits.

The Conference was opened by the president of the Romanian court of audit, Mr. Mihai Busuioc, prime minister of Romania, Mrs. Viorica Dancila, president of the Romanian Parliament, Mr. Calin Popescu Tariceanu and minister for European affairs Mr. George Ciamba.


The presidents and auditors general of the supreme audit institutions of Austria, Portugal, Czech Republic, Finland, Poland, Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary and Spain as well as the president of the European Court of Auditors, Mr. Klaus Heiner Lehne participated in the conference.
