Published Audit Report on Financial Statement of the Environment Protection Agency for 2015

Podgorica, 25th July 2016 – The State audit institution has performed financial audit of the annual financial statements for 2015 and regularity audit of the operations of the Environment Protection Agency for 2015.

Based on the conducted audit, determined facts and the statement of the audited entity  to the Preliminary Statement of the SAI, the competent Auditing Board comprised of a member of the Senate, Branislav Radulović, PhD, Head of the Auditing Board and a member of the Senate, Nikola N. Kovačević, a member of the Auditing Board, has given a qualified audit opinion on the Annual Financial Statement of the Environment Protection Agency for 2015 and qualified audit opinion on compliance of its operations with the relevant regulations.

The competent Auditing Board has obtained a reasonable assurance that the Annual financial statements of the Environment Protection Agency for 2015 for the most part gives a true and objective view on recorded receipts and expenditures in line with the acceptable financial reporting framework, except for four positions in the Cash Flow Statement III, which were, in material aspect, incorrectly stated: Other personal earnings, Expenditures for services, Current maintenance and other expenditures in total net amount of 172.851,64 €.

The regularity audit of the Agency has identified deficiencies and non-compliance with the Law on budget and fiscal responsibility, Budget Law for 2015, Instructions on State Treasury operations, and Rulebook on the Unique Classification of state budget, state funds and local self-government units.

The final Audit Report on Financial Statement of the Environment Protection Agency for 2015 has been published at the official web site of the State audit institution of Montenegro.
