Delegation of State Audit Institution of Montenegro at XX INCOSAI Congress


Delegation of the State Audit Institution of Montenegro, as a full member of INTOSAI, participated at XX INTOSAI Congress- International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions, which was held on 22nd to 27th November in Johannesburg.



At XX INTOSAI Congress, 167 delegations participated with more than 600 participants of the whole world as well as the representatives of the UN, the World Bank, national parliaments and constitutional courts.

President of the Court of Auditors of South Africa, Mr. Terence Nombembe, who was appointed as the new President of the INTOSAI Governing Board, officially opened the XX INTOSAI Congress.

Montenegrin delegation, consisting of members of the Senate of State Audit Institution, PhD Milan Dabović and MSc Branislav Radulović, as well as the President of Parliamentary Committee on economy, finance and budget, Mr. Aleksandar Damjanović, apart from the participation at the plenary work of the Congress, had many bilateral meetings with the representatives of Supreme audit institutions, which are members of INTOSAI and EUROSAI.

At these bilateral meetings with the state audit institutions of the region, the representatives of the State audit institution of Montenegro agreed on concrete future cooperation which will be focused on exchange of experience and knowledge, with the aim to better control of public sector.

At XX INCOSAI Congress, two specific themes were considered: „Values and benefits of Supreme Audit Institutions“, and „Audit of environment and sustainable development“.

The XXI INCOSAI Congress takes place in 2013. in Beijing. The host of XXI INCOSAI Congress will be the Supreme audit institution of the People’s Republic of China.
