Roundtable „ Challenges faced in implementation of the Law on financing political parties"

Podgorica, 19th February 2013 - The roundtable on theme “Challenges faced in implementation of the Law on financing political parties” will be organized in cooperation with the Ministry of finance, State audit institution and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Montenegro.

The roundtable will be held on Wednesday, 20th February at 10 o’clock at the Assembly hall in the Law Faculty in Podgorica.

The aim of the roundtable is to analyze experience in implementation of the Law on financing political parties. At the roundtable, the participants will have an opportunity to discuss relevant regional practice, as well as possible and necessary amendments of the law.

The representatives of the State audit institution, Ministry of finance and other authorized ministries, State Election Commission, Parliament of Montenegro, heads of political clubs and representatives of NGO sector will participate at the roundtable.

The roundtable will be opened by three speakers: PhD Radoje Žugić, minister of finance in Montenegrin Government; Mr. Miroslav Ivanišević, President of Senate in State audit institution and Mr. Rastislav Vrbenski, UN Resident Coordinator/UNDP Resident Representative to Montenegro. On behalf of State audit institution of Montenegro, PhD Branislav Radulović, member of Senate, will speak about “Legislation and control mechanism of political parties’ funding”.
