Held the 1st Seminar on Municipality audit and the 1st Annual Meeting of TFMA

Riga, 6th October 2017 – Delegation of the State audit institution of Montenegro, consisting of head of Sector V, Vladan Perović and head of Department in the Sector V, Dobrila Glomazić, has participated in the work of the first seminar „Municipality audit “ for the supreme audit institutions of the EUROSAI members, as well as at the first Annual meeting of the EUROSAI Task Force of municipality auditing, from 5th to 6th October in Riga, Latvia.

The theme of the first seminar of the EUROSAI Task Force of municipality auditing was “Added value from supreme audit institutions conducted in local municipalities”. The aim of the seminar was to define concrete results achieved through municipal audits conducted by supreme audit institutions, as well as to exchange information on development of the planning system in the municipalities. The added value was proposed as a central theme in order to highlight importance of municipal auditing, as well as direct and indirect benefits from this audit at the local and national level.

At the first annual meeting of the EUROSAI Task Force of municipality auditing, it was discussed about the implementation plan of three strategic goals of the Working plan of this EUROSAI Task Force for the period 2017-2019. With regards to the implementation plan of three strategic goals of the Working plan of this EUROSAI Task Force, the participants discussed about the external systems for municipal auditing in the European Union, as well as possibilities to conduct coordinated parallel audits.

The host of the seminar was the Supreme audit institution of the Republic of Latvia.

The State audit institution of Montenegro became a member of the EUROSAI Task Force for municipal auditing in December 2016.
